Cape Town on foot – Walk with Jim through heart of the Mother City
Cape Town is an amazing potpourri of cultures, architecture,sounds and smells and has an incredibly rich history. I will tell you about her from her pre-European times, then as a refreshment station for the Dutch and her time as a British colony, to her liberation from Apartheid rule and her recent and long-awaited entry into democracy.
We walk and talk our way through her diverse history at an easy, relaxed pace, with time to stop and enjoy each place. It is a way to spend valuable time well and to taste, smell, explore and listen. We visit iconic landmarks and lesser-known ones.
Your guide and host Jim, guides history, culture, nature, and wine in English and Swedish. He is Cape Town born and has lived most of his life here. He knows all sorts of special places. His love for South Africa motivated him to qualify as a tourist guide and today he is doing what he loves most, sharing his passion for his country and its people. You can ask him what you like.
Private tour. There is no mixing of other people in your group. The guide and the bus are exclusively yours.

We have a modern VW that can carry up to seven passengers comfortably. The vehicle is licensed and insured for carrying tourists, and equipped with seatbelts, aircon, PA system, binoculars, various reference books, cooler and bottled water. Jim has the required Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) and public transport permits for transporting tourists. For groups with more than 7 guests an extra tariff is applicable for the rental of a suitable vehicle.
